After a recent factional fight put the Lakelands capitol Fairhaven into the midst of a small war, all seems as usual again in the markets and docks of Fairhaven.
The Tryker capitol Fairhaven in the New Trykoth lakelands, which has been under Karavan-authority interests is now under Kami factional control, and the central Tryker Assembly government is in for a shakeup. Our trusted reporter spoke to Sweetmarie a member of the Taliar, the national tryker assembly, about these recent events.
date: Mystia 25, 4th AC 2549
Seawe: Hiya Sweets.
Sweetmarie: hihi
Seawe: Mind if I interview you about the recent takeover of Fairhaven, or are you busy atm?
Sweetmarie: I'm not too busy.
Seawe: Ok
The Fairhaven incident seems news worthy, so was the takeover of Fairhaven faction related? or was it for fun only?
Sweetmarie: Well it was for fun, but the game only lets you do tagged PvP faction vs. faction so it was meant to be some good fun faction rivalry.
Sweetmarie: We rarely see world pvp action anymore at all.
Sweetmarie: So I figured "calling the karas out" and taunting them was the way to wake everyone up and it worked. thats always best done as faction rivalry
Seawe: Who came up with the idea? Was it mainly yours? and who was mainly involved in general?
Sweetmarie: I came up with the idea to make it more of a scheduled event once before about 6 months ago. others had done it back there many times informally and adhoc.
Sweetmarie: Then this time... Nitro (GL of TI) wanted some PvP. so i suggested a repeat of what I had done before. Really the two of us together did it for a change from attacking someones outpost
Seawe: So you are not expecting the Kami gods to respond to this event in any way? In other words were you hoping to influence the kami gods to make more kami TPs or such?
Sweetmarie: Oh we intend to do that with the help of the Tryker government. I'm a member of the Tryker Taliar so will request that the Kami TPs be swapped in location. They can then sort that out with the Kamis.
Sweetmarie: We will also setup plans to build a Kami temple.
Sweetmarie: and tear down the Kara temple.
Sweetmarie: Someone suggested draining all the water and putting it in the desert canyon, but I think not.
Seawe: heh, yes I like the desert canyons as they are myself.
Sweetmarie: and I like our water here where it is. those silly Fyros.
Seawe: As Atys is or could be a homin run world, and since you're on the Tryker Taliar you have a bit of influence.
Sweetmarie: you know I am also the daughter of Jena, not sure i should mention that
Seawe: hmm all female homins are daughters of Jena..
Sweetmarie: yes but this is more literal.
Seawe: so you're considering yourself more?
Sweetmarie: she's actually my birth mother
Seawe: So have you heard any news from Jena recently?
Sweetmarie: she disowned me, we don't talk much
Seawe: kinda like the Kami with the Trykers maybe?
Sweetmarie: no more like i rebelled because my mother was trying to control my life, so she disowned me when I turned to Kami.
Seawe: I see.
Seawe: There are old stories of Jena being the mother of all homins, though the knowledge and myths have been lost and is questioned.
Seawe: Anyway moving on... do you see the the recent taking of Fairhaven as historically important or not?
Sweetmarie: time will tell. if we manage to keep it under Kami control long enough it could be.
Seawe: so you think the general homin population cares about Fairhaven and its recent events?
Sweetmarie: enough that the event brought as many homins there than as any recent outpost war.
Seawe: do you know how many showed up?
Sweetmarie: i'd guess about 50 fighters plus observers.
Seawe: Is the Lakelands important to the Kami? why was Fairhaven chosen rather than Yrkanis or even Pyr (although thats already technically Kami)
Sweetmarie: We choose FH because last time we failed in Yrkanis.
Sweetmarie: those are the only two we don't control already.
Sweetmarie: for me personally FH is my home so naturally I want the change.
Seawe: Is this takeover related to resources or outposts?
Sweetmarie: maybe very slightly for some, my guild has two outposts in the lakes.
Sweetmarie: I say its time to branch out into different lands.
Seawe: As a Tryker who has an affinity with the Kami I'd like to see Fairhaven a Kami city too. (and the lakelands more so as well)
Seawe: What about the outlying cities? Currently Lakeland outer cities are under populated.
Sweetmarie: I feel that by taking over influence of the government that those cities can become Kami too.
Sweetmarie: in time.
Seawe: What do you think the Tryker government can do? Do you have ideas?
Sweetmarie: Just starting symbolic for now. Replacing temple and TPs.
Seawe: well that would be a big start.
Sweetmarie: perhaps karas need to take another city in the lakes and make it headquarters for Kara. We are taking FH.
Seawe: interesting.
Seawe: Do you have anything more to say about the recent victory of Fairhaven?
Sweetmarie: just that if Karas want it back they need to declare their own event to take it back. and good luck... rawr
Seawe: hehe ok good luck to them
Seawe: what about the Kitin threat? will that be affected in anyway by this development? I know you are a strong proponent and very aggressive when it comes to the Kitin Threat.
Sweetmarie: FH will be stronger and more prepared by our presence.
Seawe: I've been on a few attacks with you, is there any hope to get more help from the Kami about the Kitin threat do you think?
Sweetmarie: for sure, but the threat seems to be quiet now. We have been punishing Kizokoo in the Kitin Lair.
Sweetmarie: nothing more serious there and that threat has been kept at bay.
Seawe: Ok thanks for chatting with me on the record. I look forward to see what you can do in the Tyrker council. Perhaps we can chat about that sometime...
Sweetmarie: perhaps, your welcome
Seawe: May Jena Shine Upon You.
